Triage Session
A triage session is your starting point when you want to understand your dog as a whole, whether you’re already facing complex challenges or you’re right at the beginning and want to make informed, confident choices.
Some guardians come to me because their dog has ongoing health issues, behaviour that doesn’t make sense, or training that keeps stalling. Others come because they want to start on the right foot, avoid overwhelm, and build a clear plan from day one. Wherever you are on your journey, this session gives you a grounded, joined‑up path forward.
What we explore together
We take time to understand every layer of your dog’s life so nothing important is missed.
• Health history and current concerns — including chronic conditions, pain indicators, and what your vet has already explored.
• Emotional wellbeing — stress load, resilience, triggers, and how your dog is coping.
• Gut health and nutrition — patterns that may influence comfort, behaviour, or recovery.
• Environment and lifestyle — routines, relationships, sensory load, and the dog’s wider world.
• Movement and physical comfort — subtle signs of discomfort that may affect behaviour or training.
This whole‑picture approach helps us understand what’s happening now and what your dog will need next.
What you gain from the session
The aim is to replace uncertainty with clarity and a plan that feels kind and achievable. It prevents spending lots of money from being pushed from one professional to the next.
• A full understanding of your dog’s needs, across health, behaviour, and environment.
• Clear guidance on your next steps, whether that’s behaviour support, training adjustments, veterinary checks, physio, or lifestyle changes.
• A space where you are properly listened to, without being rushed or dismissed.
• Support in liaising with other professionals, so your dog’s care becomes connected rather than fragmented.
Why start here?
Whether you’re navigating complexity or laying foundations, a triage session gives you a calm, structured place to pause, gather the whole picture, and move forward with confidence.
